GROUP PERSONAL ACCIDENT (GPA)
This cover is usually arranged by employer for the employees to cover against death, permanent disablement, temporary disablement, medical expenses and funeral expenses following an accident. This may also include cover for the directors and senior employees.
GPA is arranged by the employer is usually based on salary and is issued subject to declaration of actual salaries.
The following features are definite and should be adhered to when issuing a GPA:
- All permanent employees
- Temporary Workers/Casuals (but must not be insured for Temporary Total Disablement).
- The policy may be extended to cover children or wives/husbands of senior officers only, who should be covered separately, without Temporary Total Disablement benefits.
- The employee must have an employment contract with the employer.
- The employee must be between 18 and 65 years old.
